null The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary commented on the results of the V4 ombudsman summit

On 26 October 2024, Dr. Ákos Kozma, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, gave an interview to V4, the magazine of the Visegrád Group.


 

In the interview on Kossuth Radio's magazine program, the Ombudsman assessed the past five years and reported on the results of the V4 Ombudsman Summit held in Slovakia. The Commissioner highlighted that the Ombudsman’s office is an active member of more than twenty international organizations. One of the central topics of the V4 summit was the institution of the National Preventive Mechanism.

In Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary, particular attention is given to the protection of the fundamental rights of individuals living in closed institutions.
