The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, Dr. Ákos Kozma, visited the Vámosszabadi Reception Centre, operated by the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.
Dr. Kozma was joined by Dr. Domonkos Wildner, General Director for Police Complaints. They were welcomed by Brigadier General Dr. Sándor Gömbös, Director General of the Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.
During their discussions, the parties reviewed the Directorate-General’s protocols and measures related to alien policing and refugee management, with a particular focus on the situation of unaccompanied minors and the placement of other vulnerable groups. They also explored potential areas for future professional cooperation.
Following these discussions, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary toured the premises of the centre to observe its facilities and operations firsthand.
